Zo Zollinger is a writer and graphic designer who joined pinkletters shortly after discovering a love of literature.  An Oregon native, she has a special love for nature and keeps an extensive home garden full of plants she has individually named.

Hi there! Thanks for taking a moment to check out my portfolio. I am a graphic designer, artist, and writer. I grew up with a creative mind and would constantly redesign anything and everything to pass the time. Sometimes it was a street sign, and sometimes I would redesign an entire city block. It took me awhile to realize that I could use this joy of design and turn it into a career.

She is the second daughter of three to parents who were both teachers.  Now, Zo has a family of her own, her loving husband and two wonderful children.  She also plays piano, ukulele, and guitar.

Zo obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, graduating with multiple awards including salutatorian.  She has worked in multiple industries, giving her a glimpse into the world from many different perspectives.

Reading has been a favorite pastime since I was young. Once I could read on my own, the children section of the library was “uncool” and I ventured upstairs to check out my first “grown up” book. I was drawn to the cover design of The Hunt for Red October and immediately checked it out. Could I read it? Yes. Could I understand it? No. Regardless, the sense of achievement I got from reading the book propelled me further down the path of love for reading and learning.

Known for the visceral effect her characters have on the reader, as well as the way she crafts the moments and mood in her work, Zo focuses heavily on mental health.

While I was attending school for graphic design, I met Jupiter who introduced me to the idea of writing my stories down and sharing them with others. I hope that by sharing my stories and personal experiences, I can create a connection with each reader whether they be young or old.
